Data Protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.

When you use this website, various types of personal data are collected. Personal data refers to information that can identify you personally. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. It also explains how and for what purpose this takes place.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. communication by email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed.

Information about the Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Schatten & Licht e. V.
Obere Weinbergstr. 3
D-86465 WELDEN
Germany

Telephone: +49 8293 965864
Email: info@schatten-und-licht.de

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Withdrawal of Your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of any data processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases and to Direct Marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The relevant legal basis for processing can be found in this Privacy Policy. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims (objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing purposes. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR).

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. This right exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract, either for yourself or for a third party, in a commonly used, machine-readable format. Where you request direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place where technically feasible.

SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries or orders sent to us as the website operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection when the browser address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Access, Restriction, Deletion, and Correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to receive free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, and, where applicable, a right to correction, restriction, or deletion of this data. You may contact us at any time using the address provided in the legal notice if you have further questions regarding personal data.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may contact us at any time using the address provided in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you contest the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally require time to verify this. During the verification period, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you may request restriction of processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer require your personal data, but you need it for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of processing instead of deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balancing of interests between your interests and ours must be carried out. Until it has been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Objection to Promotional Emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published as part of our legal notice obligations for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising or informational materials. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited promotional information, such as spam emails.

3. Data Collection on Our Website

Cookies

Some parts of this website use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can configure your browser to inform you when cookies are set, to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or generally, and to activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies required for carrying out the electronic communication process or for providing certain functions requested by you (e.g. shopping basket functionality) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of services. Any other cookies (e.g. cookies used to analyse browsing behaviour) are addressed separately in this Privacy Policy.

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in ensuring the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website – for this purpose, server log files must be collected.

Contact Form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details entered there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of data entered into the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of data processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

The data you enter into the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. once your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods required by law – remain unaffected.

Enquiries by Email, Telephone, or Fax

If you contact us by email, telephone, or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (e.g. name and details of the enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not share this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided that your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or required for pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us.

The data you send to us via contact enquiries remains with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. once your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Registration on This Website

You may register on our website in order to use additional features or services available on the site. The data entered during registration will only be used for the purpose of providing the respective offer or service for which you have registered. Mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will refuse registration.

For important changes, such as modifications to the scope of services or technically necessary changes, we will use the email address provided during registration to inform you accordingly.

The processing of data entered during registration is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Data collected during registration will be stored by us for as long as you remain registered on our website and will then be deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Google Web Fonts

This website uses so-called Web Fonts provided by Google to ensure a consistent display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required Web Fonts into its browser cache in order to display text and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you use must establish a connection to Google's servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is based on our interest in ensuring a consistent and visually appealing presentation of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

If your browser does not support Web Fonts, a standard font installed on your computer will be used instead.

Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
